Applying the “Secret Formula” to Your Blog

Everyone on the internet likes the have their own secret little formula that they follow on how they find success on the internet. For some people it’s to focus onbuilding their own brand, other people like to build mailing lists and create ad campaigns. No matter what model you follow, once you find success you can build out a formula to follow with future business ventures.
There is a new guru that has been making his rounds across the internet lately and his name is Vick Strizheus and he’s come out with the Big Idea Mastermind. His claim to fame is that he was able to generate $710,000 in 28 days using his own very tightly targeted list of 1,300 subscribers. Using his past experience and success he’s created his own product launch and a partnership with Empower Network…. which also seems to be all over the place.
Since I saw this offer all over the place so I decided to enter my email and check out a few of his free emails/videos and see what’s up.
Vicks Secret Formula
Like most of the guru’s out there, he has his free infomercial videos and followup emails with leads to a big sign up pitch. The first video is basic and quick enough, then in the second one he goes into his secret formula which consists of the following:
  1. VEHICLE (offer)
  2. MOTOR (system)
  3. FUEL (traffic)
While it’s nothing too complex, when you break down any successful business, you can follow these same steps.
Let’s take the concept of blogging for example and how we can break down the business model into a three step formula.

Finding the Right Formula for Your BusinessVEHICLE

Every successful business needs a way to make money, and in this example we are going to be investing in yourself with the eventual goal of becoming your own brand. With your own brand you can launch your own products, sell advertising and create a following that provides massive value for years to come.

MOTOR

To create a successful business model (vehicle), you are going to need to have a working system in place. This would be the process of building your own blog that continually grows your brand in the process. The best way to grow your brand is to create content that people find value in and allows you to gain their trust over time.

FUEL

Lastly, you are going to need to find a traffic source for your business (blog). With online marketing you have a great number of options to choose from. With a blog you don’t need to focus on too main “paid” methods such as search marketing and media buying, but can instead focus your efforts on creating quality content that goes viral and guest blogging.
It doesn’t matter if you prefer blogging to create a business online, or running ad campaigns – the formula is still the same. You need a business model that generate revenue, a system to put that business model in place and working for you, then a way to target your audience and turn them into potential customers. Putting all of these components together will give you a winning formula, it’s just a matter of figuring out what the best methods are to take and how to implement them.
